EASTERN ALAMANCE HIGH SCHOOL BAND NEEDS

1.   New uniforms for the Marching Band

The above items are in addition to our yearly cost which requires either more out of pocket costs to the parents or additional fundraisers. Please help us provide the above needs to the band through your help in any of the attached fundraisers.

 

 

2008 Fundraisers 

  1. Blue Ribbon/Eastern Alamance HS Band Spirit Night

January 29th was the kick-off event. Beginning March 3rd, Blue Ribbon will host spirit day for us on the 1st Monday of each month. Also beginning with the March event, Blue Ribbon is opening it up for the whole day. Don't forget to print your flier and bring it with you.

            *We need everyone in the band to hand out at least 5 fliers to family

             and friends.

 

  1. 1,000+ Discount Cards-    FEB/MAR2008

22 Sponsors have agreed to be on the 2008 Eastern Alamance Band Discount Cards.  

These should be in by mid Jan 2008 with an expiration date of Feb 28, 2009. Cards will

cost $5.00 each. If all cards are sold profit will be $4,600.

 

*In addition to selling these individually to family and friends we’ll be organizing a  

            Saturday for band members to get together for breakfast then go sell the discount 

            cards in small groups.

 

  1. World’s Finest Chocolate Sale-    FEB 2008

At the beginning of Feb we’ll begin signing out boxes of World’s Finest Chocolate to each band member. If you are interested in selling the candy bars or need additional candy bars please contact : Kim Gwynn at kgwynn@marchingeagles.org. The band will make 50% of all candy sold.

 

  1. Spaghetti Dinner, Auction & Cake Sale-    (will be moved to a later date)

At the end of Feb we’ll holding a Spaghetti dinner in the Eastern Cafeteria. Tickets will begin to go on sale at the beginning of Feb.

We will also have an auction with items donated from local business sponsors and a cake sales. If you’re interesting in helping with this fundraiser please contact:

 

    1. Dave/Karen: Food- Will try to get most food donated but will also need to

                        get other supplies. Will send home a list of items needing donated.

  1. Tank of gas raffle-    MARCH 2008

In March we’ll begin selling tickets to raffle off a tank of gas.

 

  1. Home Interior Candles & Snackin in the USA-     MARCH 2008

This would begin in March. Additional information to follow. The band would make

 50% on all sales with no out of pocket cost to the band.

Update - the Home Interior sale has already begun. Deadline for orders is 2/28. The Snackin USA fundraiser is still scheduled for later.

  1. Second Chance Dance-      TBD

In April we’ll be holding our 1st Annual Second Chance Dance. With the prom like theme this will be held at the school cafeteria for adults only. The Jazz band will provide music and desserts will be served by the students. Tickets will go on sale several weeks before the dance. YEAR AROUND FUNDRAISERS

 

  1. Freshwater Print Sales-    ALL YEAR

The band is selling sign and numbered prints of Freshwater store in Mebane. The cost per print is $50.00 and the band will make $25.00 off all prints. There are approximately 400 prints remaining allowing the band to make a profit of $10,000. Please see the attached flier.

  1. Corporate Sponsors-      ALL YEAR

We’ll continue to sell spaces on the concession stand, band trailer and football field fence for sponsors. Attached is a copy of the sponsor forms. Please hand these out to businesses through out Alamance, Orange and Guilford county. Our goal is to get 20 additional fence sponsors this year. For those students/parents that get any business to sponsor a fence banner they’ll receive $50.00 in their student account. Please be sure to write your name on the form when giving them out to receive credit.
